The Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 was a purpose-built mid‑engined rally car developed in the 1970s, famous for its radical wedge-shaped Bertone design and ultra-short wheelbase that made it incredibly agile on tight, twisty stages. It used a Ferrari-derived V6 engine and was built specifically to dominate the World Rally Championship, where it secured multiple manufacturers’ titles and became one of the most iconic rally cars of all time. Lancia later followed the Stratos era with the Delta S4 in Group B, continuing the brand’s reputation for extreme, innovative rally engineering.
